Open Enrollment begins in November for an effective date of January 1st.We will apply for surrogate friendly insurance policies, and the IP will have the choice of choosing which premium and policy they prefer. Please note this option is only available in November.

The Accident and Health Division and Brown & Brown are pleased to offer insurance coverage for Surrogates who experience complications of pregnancy.

Policy Benefits and Provisions:

• Complications of Pregnancy Benefits- up to a maximum of $1,000,000.00
• Accidental Death and Dismemberment- $100,000.00
• Air Ambulance-up to a maximum of $5,000
• Acts as a primary coverage for complications of pregnancy when no other coverage applies, otherwise benefits are paid on an excess basis.
• Hospital Maximum- $1,200 per day for up to 30 days
• In Hospital or doctor ordered weekly bed rest disability benefits
• Coverage for non-elective C-sections subject to a $10,000 deductible
• Coverage for post-partum depression subject to a $1,000 deductible
• No deductible for all other benefits
• Cost- effective, truly a complications only insurance product
• Multiple births covered , not limited to one or two fetuses only
• No brokers fee

If your surrogate has surrogate friendly insurance we can use her policy for the surrogate journey. In order to verify if her insurance is surrogate friendly we will need to run an exclusion review. The exclusion review is completed by ArtRisk, and they will write us a detailed report, stating if it is ok to use the insurance or not.
